IMPORTANT NOTICE: Fraudulant Activity

The Highland County Health Department has received the following important information from the Ohio Department of Health:

From: The Ohio Department of Health

The Ohio Department of Health Food Safety program has received some reports from southwest Ohio that someone is contacting food service operators claiming to be a health inspector and attempting to obtain credit card numbers for “inspection fees”.

In Highland County, we do not collect a fee for inspection. Your yearly license renewal fee includes your permit to operate and your inspection. If anyone should contact you or come into your establishment, please look for proper identification.

Feel free to contact our office or The Ohio Department of Health if you have any questions.
