The Highland County Health Department offers all required school immunizations. Children usually receive immunizations in kindergarten, 7th grade, and 12th grade. However, parents and caregivers of school-aged children are encouraged to check with their child’s health care provider or school nurse to ensure their child’s shots are up-to-date before school begins.

  • Required: DTaP, Polio, MMR, and Varicella.

  • Required: Tdap and MCV4. Parents should also consider HPV

  • Required: MCV4. Parents should also consider HPV and Meningitis B
